National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG] is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 to co-ordinate and implement at the national level various activities of the NGRBA programme including the World Bank assisted National Ganga River Basin Project. Applications are invited for two posts of Additional Mission Director (technical) and a Director (Ganga Knowledge Centre} in National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMGG) in the Pay Band-4 (Rs. 37,400-67,000) and Grade Pay Rs. 8700/- to be filled by deputation from Environment/ Urban Development/ similar department of Slate Governments, Central state Pollution Control Board, Research/ Academic Institute.
2. (A). Eligibility Criteria
These positions are to be filled on deputation from Environment/ Urban Development Department of State Governments' Central Pollution Control Board/ State Pollution Control Boards/ Research, Academic Institute.
a. Employees of Environment/ urban Development Department of State Governments: In the rank of Chief Engineer/ Superintendent Engineer in PB-4 in pay scale of 37,400-67,000 with grade pay of Rs. 8,700/- or equivalent pay scales in the State Government.
b. Employees of CPCB/SPCBs: In the rank of Scientist-E in pay scale of Rs.37,400-67,000 with grade pay Rs. 8,700/- or equivalent pay scales in the State Government.
c. Employees of Research/ Academic Institute: Joint Director/ Associated Professor in pay scale of Rs.37,400-67,000 with grade pay of Rs. 8,700/- or equivalent pay scales in the Concerned Institution. or
Applicant possessing desired qualification and work experience but working in PB-3 Rs. (15,600—39,100) with Grade Pay Rs. 7,600/- or equivalent pay scale.
(2) Age Limit: `l1·re maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall be not exceeding 55 years as on the closing date for the receipt of the applications.
(3) Qualification & Job Responsibilities:
(a) Post of Additional Mission Director (Technical) - 2 Nos.
(ii) Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University) Institute with 15 years of experience.
(ii) Desirable Qualification: M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering r' Public Health Engineering r' Rivers & Loire Conservation water Resources.
(iii) Role & Responsibilities of the post:
- Overall responsibility for technical activities of NGRBA
- Overall responsibility for staff and task management of technical Unit.
- Close and continuous communications with all functional wings and key stakeholders at Central/ state levels and with development partners.
(b) Post of Director (Ganga Knowledge Centre) -1 No.
(i) Essential Qualification Doctorate in Environmental Science or similar discipline with 15 years of relevant experience.
(ii) Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of running up of National/ international
Institute of similar Kind, knowledge of Ganga Basin & River System with 15 years of experience.
(iii) Role & responsibilities of the post:
- Lead the establishment and development of Central Ganga Knowledge Centre, including responsibility for staff and task management
- Oversee knowledge management and analysis functions for the NGRBA—related institutions
- Innovate use of modern tools and technologies in NGRBA information management and analysis activities
-Liaise with several central/ State-level academic and research institutions to strengthen Ganga knowledge network
